Canada Is Opening A Pod Hotel Just Like The Ones In Tokyo
You’ve definitely heard of the insane pod hotels you can only find in Japan. 
Whether you think these capsule hotels are the smartest way to travel or give you serious claustrophobia, you can’t deny that the design is innovative and in all ways unique. It’s 2018 now, and the rest of the world is catching up to Japan. Canada is getting their very first pod hotel located right at the heart of one of British Columbia’s favorite ski and snowboard town. Whistler will be home to this innovative accommodation, the Pangea Pod Hotel which is geared for single travelers who are ready to mingle, meet new faces, and feel smart about their accommodation.
The boutique hotel will feature 88 independent sleeping pods with eight custom style rooms, each complete with:
- the softest double mattress that will make you feel like you’re sleeping on a cloud
- personal charging stations for all your Insta and Facebook needs
- individualized built-in fan system for air circulation
- hooks and hangers for your boarding gear
- personal storage units
Not only does Pangea Pod Hotel have awesome pod rooms, it also has an incredible rooftop patio where you can soak in all the Pacific Northwest mountain views, as well as a chic “Living Room” bar perfect for meeting other travelers.
The hotel is slated to open this Summer 2018.
